She was such an embarrassment. \u00c2\u00a0She cooked for students &amp; teachers to support the family.\u00c2\u00a0There was this one day during elementary school where my mom came to say hello to me.\u00c2\u00a0I was so embarrassed. \u00c2\u00a0How could she do this to me?\u00c2\u00a0I ignored her, threw her a hateful look and ran out. \u00c2\u00a0The next day at school one of my classmates said, &#8216;EEEE, your mom only\u00c2\u00a0Has one eye!&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>I wanted to bury myself. \u00c2\u00a0I also wanted my mom to just disappear.\u00c2\u00a0I confronted her that day and said, &#8216; If you&#8217;re only gonna make me a\u00c2\u00a0Laughing stock, why don&#8217;t you just die?&#8217; \u00c2\u00a0My mom did not respond&#8230;. \u00c2\u00a0I didn&#8217;t even stop to think for a second about what I had said, because\u00c2\u00a0I was full of anger.\u00c2\u00a0I was oblivious to her feelings.\u00c2\u00a0I wanted out of that house, and have nothing to do with her.<\/p>\n<p>So I studied real hard, got a chance to go abroad to study.\u00c2\u00a0Then, I got married. \u00c2\u00a0I bought a house of my own.\u00c2\u00a0I had kids of my own. \u00c2\u00a0I was happy with my life, my kids and the comforts, Then one day, my\u00c2\u00a0Mother came to visit me.\u00c2\u00a0She hadn&#8217;t seen me in years and she didn&#8217;t even meet her\u00c2\u00a0Grandchildren.<\/p>\n<p>When she stood by the door, my children laughed at her, and I yelled at\u00c2\u00a0Her for coming over uninvited.\u00c2\u00a0I screamed at her, &#8216;How dare you come to my house and scare my \u00c2\u00a0Children!&#8217;\u00c2\u00a0GET OUT OF HERE! NOW!!!&#8217;\u00c2\u00a0And to this, my mother quietly answered, &#8216;Oh, I&#8217;m so sorry. I may have got the wrong address,&#8217;\u00c2\u00a0And she disappeared out of sight.<\/p>\n<p>One day, a letter regarding a school reunion came to my house. \u00c2\u00a0So I lied to my wife that I was going on a business trip. \u00c2\u00a0After the reunion, I went to the old shack just out of curiosity. \u00c2\u00a0My neighbors said that she died.\u00c2\u00a0I did not shed a single tear.<br \/>\nThey handed me a letter that she had wanted me to have.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><em> &#8216;My dearest son,<br \/>\nI think of you all the time. I&#8217;m sorry that I came to your house and\u00c2\u00a0Scared your children.\u00c2\u00a0I was so glad when I heard you were coming for the reunion. \u00c2\u00a0But I may not be able to even get out of bed to see you.\u00c2\u00a0I&#8217;m sorry that I was a constant embarrassment to you when you were\u00c2\u00a0Growing up.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em> You see&#8230;&#8230;..when you were very little, you got into an accident, and\u00c2\u00a0Lost your eye.\u00c2\u00a0As a mother, I couldn&#8217;t stand watching you having to grow up with one eye.\u00c2\u00a0So I gave you mine.\u00c2\u00a0I was so proud of my son who was seeing a whole new world for me, \u00c2\u00a0in my place, with that eye.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em><br \/>\nWith all my love to you,<br \/>\nYour mother. <\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong><em><br \/>\n<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Remember &#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Always tell someone that you love them because you never know what day will be their last, or your own.<\/li>\n<li>Always seek to resolve your problems or disagreements with loved ones\u00c2\u00a0Because if either of you should pass on before, the one who is left alive will have the rest of their life to ponder those unresolved feelings but will never find closure. And closure usually brings\u00c2\u00a0Peace&#8230;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>PS.
