UX/UI design overhaul of an IoT suite designed to monitor and control energy usage, occupancy, and environmental metrics across various industries. Focused on creating a user-centric, scalable, and configurable interface that supports diverse user personas and evolving product requirements. Key improvements included a modular, drag-and-drop dashboard, customizable components, streamlined navigation, and enhanced data visualization to facilitate quick insights and user satisfaction. The project aimed to simplify user interactions, reduce clutter, and improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of the platform.

Objectives

• Develop a Comprehensive Dashboard: Create a central dashboard that integrates and displays all relevant functionalities for users, based on their roles within the IoT platform.
• Design User-Friendly Interface: Create an interface that is easy to understand and consume, with persona-specific information that can be configured into bite-sized modules and easily scaled for new requirements.
• Enable Role-Based Customization: Design a flexible system that dynamically adapts the dashboard view according to the user's roles and preferences, allowing for multiple roles to be managed seamlessly.
• Enhance User Experience: Simplify the user interface by minimizing the need for multiple logins and providing an intuitive way for users to navigate between different roles.
• Personalization Features: Introduce features that enable users to personalize their dashboard by selecting, adding, or removing information and tools that are relevant to their specific needs.
• Facilitate Easy Onboarding: Streamline the registration and onboarding process by allowing users to define their roles and preferences upfront, leading to an automatically tailored dashboard experience.
• Support Multi-Role Users: Ensure the system accommodates users with multiple roles without requiring them to log in and out of different accounts.
• Promote Reusability and Efficiency: Allow users to replicate existing personas to save time and enhance consistency across similar roles.
